Shihan Carol Cordova

• 6th Degree Black Belt, Kenpo Karate, 1st Degree Black Belt, Tang Soo Do.

Shihan Carol began her training in 1983 under Master Bill Parent in the Chuck Norris system of Tang Soo Do. In 1986 she earned her 1st Degree Black Belt. As a competitor Shihan Carol was one of the top female fighters in the state of California. Even though she was a successful sport karate fighter she felt that because of her small size she needed to learn a martial art that wasn’t reliant on size or strength to defend herself in a real situation.

Master Parent suggested that she start training with his good friend GM Cecil Peoples. She immediately fell in love with the art of Kenpo. Shihan Carol has a passion for teaching and keeping our children safe. In 2004 she teamed up with Julie Clark, founder of Baby Einstein, to create the Emmy award winning DVD series, The Safe Side. The “Stranger Safety” DVD was the winner of 5 Emmy’s including Shihan Carol’s Emmy for Best Writer of a children’s video.
